lyrics

I can’t breathe though I see the toxicity.

What’s my worth? To them it’s just my skin.
What they weigh ignores the things within.

They decide how beauty is defined.
To them the cost is fine.

The war I fight is both inside out.
And it’s strengthening my doubt.

I’m tortured by knowing what is right.
Hypocrisy is rife.

Chorus
I can’t breathe though I see the toxicity.
Tried to break, tried to shake still they dictate.

All my life I heard all they had said.
Like a knife twisting in my head.

Calling me. Whispering of peace.
I fall, for their deceit.

The war I fight is both inside out.
And it’s strengthening my doubt.

I’m tortured by knowing what is right.
Hypocrisy is rife.

Chorus
I can’t breathe though I see the toxicity.
Tried to break, tried to shake still they dictate.

I fall down once more. How deep now will I go?
Illusions will hold false promises of a hope.
